OUR PERSONAL TEMPLE' MADE WITHOUT HANDS,

OUR OWN 'SANCTUARY'

Our God is none other than the Lord God Almighty, He is also our Loving Heavenly Father and the Creator God.Our God desires to be with His people, this being taught so much throughout the Scriptures, we also understand it from our own experience.In the beginning our God was with those whom he had created, the language expressing this in the Scriptures is rather nice.We note that the Lord God', desired to be Walking in the garden in the cool of the day' with those who He had created, what an experience Vthis was for our God and His created beings, yes they were created not made.When this fellowship was broken because of the waywardness of mankind, the communion between a holy God and disobedient individuals just could not continue

In the situation when our Lord and mankind were separated because of sin, it was our Loving Heavenly Father who took the initiative.This in itself teaches that our God always takes the lead, spiritually in ourselves we are dead', just read Ephesians c2 v1 from the version which is authorised, mankind has no ability in himself to seek a holy God, so in Genesis c3 v9 we note God called out Where art thou?'.For mankind to be reconciled to our Lord, the penalty of death for sin had to be paid because our God in Himself is JUST, this was done, even in the very early years of mankind, in the giving of a life, re¯ad v21 in the same Genesis chapter.Now this principle of procedures continued through the spiritual economy of the Old Testament days which went on for many years.Indeed it continued to the life of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of The Father, not only His life but through His death, to the might and majesty of the resurrection on the third day.The sins of the people in times gone bycould only be rolled back for twelve months, then the sacrifices had to be done all over again, continually, that is why the High Priests stood up' through the procedures, indicating that more had to be done.Then came our Lord Jesus, He died, Once and for all for the sins of people' and then sat down' at the right hand of The Father, this teaching His work was complete.Yes it was a completed work, never ever to be done again in any way

In the created world our God made a tabernacle' for the SUN as taught in the Psalms, f3/4rom it comes light and energy.The word 'tabernacle' means a meeting place', it is also true that there is a meeting place between God and mankind this is in The SON, in The Cross, in the person of our Lord Jesus, His Cross work.From our God's SONcomesthe eternal, spiritual light and energy' of the crucified Christ!

In days gone by during Old Testament times from David and afterwards, God dwelt in a building made by hands, in the Holy of Holies part of the temple, this section was divided by curtain, a veil which was ONE INCH thick.Our God was present there in His Shekinah Glory', this was a cloud', a spiritual one, there was one by day and one by night, just imagine what this must have been like, it could only have been very special.Our Lord presenced Himself there in the temple, but as the Children of Israel were disobedient so the glory of God departed from His appointed position.As the people disobeyed, God no longer was wˆith them, this state was known as the Ichabod', which means the glory has departed'.

For the building of the first temple our God gave instructions to David,but he could not do the work because he had been a man of blood, so Solomon his son directed operations.For the building all the stone work was prepared atsome distance from where the building was to be erected, the sound of hammers, the efforts of man were not heard on site where the temple was to be built.As every stone was placed in position, it fitted exactly into place.This building was beautiful, 46,300 tons of gold and silver being used to line both sides.Solomon's Temple reflected such a brilliance and dazzling effulgence, that the eye of the beholder was obliged to turn away, being no more able to sustain its radiance than the splendour of the sun

Solomon's Temple took just over 7² years to build, with us all knowing the Biblical meaning of the word seven, 184,000 workman were involved and 46,300 tons of gold and silver used..In that building there was the cloud by day and one by night, the glory of our Lord, HisSHEKINA' presence was there.This presence lasted only for a few years, Shishak the king of Egypt, through him the temple was plundered of its immense riches - the word ICHABAD' comes to mind, The glory hath departed' and in writing this I go much further than the value of gold and silver, much deeper.Let us now go beyond this point, where we worship which word can be used?Dear friends, we must go even deeper, in my life, in yours which word can be used - I dare not go any further, I cannot travel along that pathway one inch more without deep reflection on my life!

Please notethateverythinginthisbuilding,asrecordedinScripture,teachesus something about Divine things Þeven in the few points I have just referred to

We first note that the building of the Church of The Living God', the Mystical Body of Christ' for those who have their names written in The Lamb's Book of Life' is now directed by God's Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, He gives the instructions' to every member and in that eternal day it will be complete

Next we observe the point about noises' of man's tools , none of these were heard on site, the work was done elsewhere.This teaches that we are saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus, not by our works, no, no and no again.Please read Ephesians c2v8 & 9

Please observe that every stone for the building was cut exactly to shape, this is taking place in our lives now, in the lives of all the blood bought folk of our Lord Jesus.The rough edges' are now being knocked off my, off our personalities, our lives at this moment of time through the experiences we are having.This is that we become full grown men and women in Chri3st Jesus, when at that point, we will be in glory, where His body, His church will be complete

The stones for Solomon's Temple fitted exactly into place in the building, so we, as we believe are now being prepared to be part of the eternal holy sanctuary'.In reaching our desired haven we will fit exactly into position - this dear folk is the explanation for all the experiences in our lives up to this very moment in time, every single one of them.There is no need for us to look for another

The final points I would ask you to consider are that the building was lined with plates of gold and silver, something which was precious'.Please stop for a few moments, our Lord Jesus is precious to all His people, to us who believe there is every beauty one could desire in Him, this being the correct understandi€ng of Isaiah c53, the last nine words of v2 as understood in the context of Scripture.Please now turn toHebrews c1 v3 and read the words with understanding, He is The brightness of The Father's glory, the express image of His person, upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of The Father'.Still dwelling on the writings in the same book, in c1 just consider v2, our Father God has NOTHING more to say to mankind, other than what He has said in His Son.There is no plus' after the person of Jesus, in Him all fullness dwells and we are full in The Master, if not then we would need a deeper, a richer, a second blessing.If this was the case, which it is not, it would teach that more was required beyond thepersonofTheONLY

Begotten Son of The Father, how dare we venture to think this way?I am now goòing to travelon a certain pathway in recording that if our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of Light and Glory, the Only Begotten Son of TheFatherisnotprecioustous,thereisdear

reader, something wrong, I will not go any further on this point at the moment but just please dwell on the words of our Lord God Almighty to Isaiah.This One who was born in The Manger is Wonderful', 'Counsellor', The Mighty God', The Everlasting Father', The Prince of Peace', so I ask once more, What more could we desire beyond the person of our dear Lord Jesus Christ?He is precious and so are we to our Father God through our Lord Jesus Christ!Just for a few moments think of all the names of our Lord, please go deeper than just knowing His names, think what those name teach, yes He is WONDERFUL'

Solomon's Temple, the building itself reflected the brilliance of the SUN, if my, if our lives do not reflect the beauty of THE SON, then the word Ichabod' has to be used.Let the beauty of Jesus b£e seen in me, All His wondrous compassion and purity,Oh, Thou Spirit Divine, All my nature refine, Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me'.In everything we SAY, all we WRITE and whatever we DO there should be the GRACE of Jesus, portraying in our lives Something for Thee'

At the time our Lord Jesuswas in Jerusalem, Solomon's Temple was no longer there but another had been built.The procedures in the temple were in a very low state indeed, the ecclesiastical life was so poor, with those who had the position of High Priest being much to be desired and I say no more.Yes, the glory of the Lord had departed, not only from the temple, but alsothe people, there was a state of Ichabod',meaning The glory had departed'.Then our Lord Jesus came, what did they do to Him?They crucified the Lord of light and glory, the Jews said His blood be upon us and ours' and it has been ever since, so where does our God ¦dwell now please?

Just in a few wordsfrom Scripture, we know, The most high does not now dwell in buildings made by hands',but our bodies are the temple of His Holy Spirit, in and through our Lord Jesus Christ, this makes me blink a little.I now call to mind our Lord's Shekina Glory', it was present with His people as they were obedient.Now as our dear Lord is within us by His Spirit, so I and we should show something of His glory in our lives, we should be Changing right now from glory into glory'.I have to dwellÊon this deeply, what is coming off my life now, Shekina' glory or Ichabad' shame?.There should be coming off my, off our lives the fragrance of Jesus, as we Present our bodies, a living sacrifice to our Lord, which is our reasonable service'.A fragrance comes off a sacrifice, off our lives there should be the FRAGRANCE OF JESUS', yes Something for Thee'

We all need on our lives the divinÊe BENEDICTION of our dear Lord, full stop!I, we all require a deeper experience of the GRACE of our dear Lord Jesus, that grace which we do not deserve in any way, only as we experience it personally can this be expressed in our lives - Selah!

Then for a fuller understanding of the LOVE of our Father God, that love by which God SO loved the world, that He GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whosoever believeth on Him should NOT perish, but HAVE everlasting life' - Selah!

Finally I, we all need the FELLOWSHIP, the COMMUNION of His Spirit who is Divine.The Holy Spirit is not something' which can be plucked out of the atmosphere as the mood suits us, THAT IS NOT RIGHT. He, yes He is a person who dwellsú within us as we believe, in and through our dear Lord Jesus Christ - Selah!

In saying that may there be from my, from our lives more of the fragrance of The Master, but we all know that within us there is a battle going on, For the good that we should do, that we do not, because evil is present with us'.May we take great care in the things we SAY, WRITE, DO and THINKPlease Lord in my life, in ours may there be Something for Thee'

BUT HISTEMPLE'ISTHE HEARTS AND LIVES OF

HIS REDEEMED PEOPLE WE ARE HIS 'SANCTUARY'
