The sons of a father, The Son of The Father & sons of God'

The word sons' and Son' are most important, let us forget what the world knows as political correctness' and endeavour to understand what is taught in The Word of our God.So why have three points been made in the heading for this article?

In the spiritual economy of our Father God there are two groups of sons', but only one Son and as we become Christian we are all sons' of our Father God.Now before anyone decides this article is not for them, let us understand we are all, as we believe, sons of our Father God, enjoying all the conditions of that position in and through our blessed Lord JesusChrist.As we have joined the church of the living God, as we have been called out' from the world to join the family of our God and this is the meaning of the word ecclesia', as webecame members of the mystical body of Christ, as we became honoured in having our names written in The Lamb's Book of Life', written by those nailed pier�ced hands of our dear Lord Jesus, then we are all, whether male or female, we are allsons of our Father God and should be enjoying the blessings of that condition

In the days of old there was a special position for a son and an important one for the first born, weall have to think about this to help us understand our position as sons of God.The first born son inherited the majority of the estate of his father, with the other sons sharing out what was left but the daughters getting nothing from their father's estate.In the days of the Old Testament there was a special ceremony as the father passed on his estate to his sons, he placed his right hand on the head of his eldest son and blessed him, in the name of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.Now this did not always happen in that order as we know from the experience of Ephraim and Manasseh, there were domestic problems in those days.Theestate was passed to the sons, not the daughters, and the sons should have enjoyed the condition they had a

s sons.Now these blessings of the father's estate were not just material things, they were to do with character and that which was divine, please remember Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for some bread and lentil soup, the foolish man.Now as we reflect on this with disdain, may we not warm ourselves by the fires of this world as Peter did at the Crucifixion, or by the entertainment of this world.In Peter doing what he did, the man more easily denied His Lord in front of a young wench as Jesus was crucified - this makes me speechless

We will now consider the next point in the heading of this scrip, The Son of The Father'.When this word Son' is written in Scripture with a capitol letter S' it can only apply to our Lord Jesus Christ, to none other.Our Lord Jesus was begotten of The Father, not of Joseph the husband of Mary.Jesus was the seed of the woman, this implying that the young carpenter had nothing to do with it in any way.From what I understand, had Joseph and Mary experienced sex while they were betrothed, before they were married, then Mary could have been stoned to death - but they weren't.So our Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF THE FATHER,there was never one like Him before He came into time and there has never been one like Him since - He is unique!

There is also a very special relationship between our Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ that cannot be touched by anyone.Now just pause for a few moments and read Matthew c11 v27 and John's Gospel c20 v17.In these records our Lord Jesus referred to His Father God in the first instance as my Father', not please note as our Father'.In the Disciple's Prayer in Matthew c6Jesus did not pray those words Himself, but in teaching his disciples how to pray, our Lord encourages us all as we believe to address the Lord God Almighty as our' Father.Yes the relationship between our Father God and our Lord Jesus is very special indeed and cannot, no cannot be touched by any of we humans

In Phillipians we are taught in the day of reckon�ing every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God The Father.This confession will be made in worship or judgment,clearly understand this please, we will not be able to go backwards from this point and live our lives again, this will be the point of no return.It is in the record of the Divine Oracles that man will die ONCE, then the judgment for it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God

Finally for our consideration of the words sons of God'.If after reading these notes you accuse me of being sexist, then you do not know anything of Trevor Brian Ironside.I rate a young girl who has put her faith in and through our Lord Jesus, the position of a lady whether married or not who is a Christian, a wife who honours our Lord, a Godly mother setting a Christian example, a praying Nan constantly on her knees, I put the ministry of such a persUon very high indeed with their influence not able to be touched by a man in any way.So it is with this thinking that I proceed.I now today benefit from the spiritual legacy that my wife Amy left, this getting richer almost every day

Now the male members of Jewish families received the blessings of the father, as we understand this from history books.But with all of us who believe, there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free, male nor female but we are all one in Christ Jesus in this sense.Being in that position as sons' we inherit all the blessings of our Father God, in and through our dear Lord Jesus. Four times in and around the verses I am now going to encourage you to read, sons' are mentioned, not daughters or children.Just turn to Galations c3 to 29, then verses 6 & 7 if the next chapter.Please take these verses in th�e context of the balanced view of the rest of Scripture, remembering that as we take the text' out of context' we are left with a con' and also that Scripture MUST be interpreted by Scripture

Dear brother and sister in the family of our Father God, in and through the work of our dear Lord Jesus Christ on The Cross, through His shed blood on The Cross, by His life giving on The Cross.As we entered into the covenant of our Father God, by our Lord Jesus, so we are in the sense that has been outlined in the words that have been here recorded, we are all sons of God' and inherit all the blessing of The Father by our dear Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we are rransomed, healed, restored and forgiven.As sons of the father in Old Testament days the blessings were passed on in the name of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, so we inherit all the riches in Christ Jesus, by the name of The Father, Son & Holy Ghost.

As we put on one side out mortal bodies we will go to be with our Lord which will be far better than anything we have experienced here in time.In that eternal realm there will not be any sexuality in any way, understanding the word in its fullest and correct sense, we will then more fully understand our Lord in a way that we never did here on Planet Earth, we will also be with our loved ones in Him who have gone before and know who they are, all our senses will then be deepened and we will understand our Lord and our loved ones in a way that will be wonderful yet something we cannot grasp just at this moment
