Our Lord Jesus Christ

Let us endeavour to keep a balance in our thinking regarding our Lord God Almighty who is our lovingly Heavenly Father, recognising that we can only do so in and through our dear Lord Jesus Christ by His Divine Holy Spirit, there is no other way, may this be clearly understood.In the thinking of us all, yes every one of us, we move in our understanding of divine things as we travel through life.As the pendulum of a clock moves from one extreme to the other, it always has to go past the one central position, so may we ensure that in our thinking regarding our Lord we keep the principal truths in their correct place.Indeed may this point be put even clearer, may we always keep our dear Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of His Heavenly Father have Him central in our lives, but having said that I now ask why?

I am going to record certain points and ask questions, then do a summary at the end as to how I understand the important truths being considered

Name the One of whom it Jwas written some 1,500 years BC, that He was going to come into life in an unusual way and that by The seed of the woman' as we note the teaching in Genesis c3, the one to be born was not to be the seed of the man which was the usual way of expressing these things, its astonishing what was recorded!

Name the One to whom the majority of the Old Testament, the 39 books, pointed forward to?The references are almost to many to count

Name the One who was born in a cattle trough as the skies were shot through with the glory of God, a host of angels sang, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace towards men of goodwill'. Then after a few days of His birth Wise Men came from the East to see Him and to a small babe born in a manger Wise Men gave expensive gifts of GOLD, FRANKINCENSE & MYRRH,After they saw The Babe, they retuьrned from where they came, but did not report back to Herod, it is recorded, They went back another way', after our personal encounter with Jesus we should also travel a different pathway in life.For Simeon in the temple, a Godly man waiting for, The consolation of Israel', in seeing the babe that was brought to him by two simple peasants, he said, This day, mine eyes, have seen, Thy salvation, now lettest Thy servant depart in peace' - what an event it must have been!

Name the One who lived such a remarkable life, our Lord had no progeny, He did not write any books, did so many miracles, gave such good teaching yet a learning establishment was not opened at the time to further His course, He was helped by only twelve disciples to further His work, these were fishermen, tax collectors and even a traitor.The man who we are considering has had such an influence on so many people, through Him thousands of good good courses have been founded, it being impossible for me to name them.Now when you have_ thought about this matter for only a few seconds just name Him please - what a man He must have been!

Name the One who so many billions of folk over the centurieshave remembered by a simple act of eating a small portion of bread and drinking wine from a cup - what an impression He has made !

Name the One who when crucified certain things took place in the area.There was an earth quake, darkness in the middle of the day for a space of three hours and the large thick veil in the temple was ripped apart from the top to the bottom not the bottom to top.Then the third day after this event this person rose from the dead to the wonder and glory, the might and majesty of the resurrection on the third day, appeared toHis disciples and many more - what a super man NO, He was the only begotten of The Father!

Who is The One who now, at this moment siЃts at the right hand of The Father, crowned with resplendent glory as The King of kings, interceding for us and He is coming again, who is He - it is this same Jesus

This One is God's ONLY begotten Son, the Lord of Life and Glory, our'Lord Jesus Christ

Having said all I have, I want now to ensure we keep a right balance in our thinking and experience.Our God, the Lord God Almighty is one and yet three but fully unified together, the fourth word in the Bible indicates this, as we understand the word God' which was translated from the Hebrew word Elohim', is a uni-plural noun, so there we have so early in Scripture a reference to The Trinity.The Trinity was not just something that was thought up in the early days of the church, to enable their thinking to be held together as some people have suggested, our great Triune God has always been and always will be

So we have the LorИd God Almighty, His only begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit, they being fully unified together in a way that we humans cannot understand.Please remember that one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that our beloved Lord Jesus is King, to the glory of God the Father, this will beby the enabling power of the Holy Spirit, now consider a further point.One just cannot speak about our Father God through our Lord Jesus without the help of the Holy Spirit, it just cannot be done effectively.Ifthis is done in our own power, by eloquence or just the force of our own personality then our words will be just like the passing wind, it will be merely an academic exercise, an utter waste of time.In any case if Jesus is Lord in our lives, as in our lives we are led along paths of righteousness for His name's sake, as it is His Kingdom, also the power and the glory belongs to our Lord, how dare we try to fit ourselves in?
