EVERY BEAUTY in JESUS

There are parts of Scripture that one has difficulty in understanding, I have found the last few words of Isaiah c53 v2 rather a little strange if not taking into account the full teaching of The Word of God. I have heard it said that our dear Lord Jesus was not very special in appearance, I have problems with this thinking, considering who He was and is, so what do the words mean, There is no beauty that we should desire of Him'

The words just mentioned speak, in a prophetical way, of our Lord Jesus but to understand them, they must be interpreted by the whole of the writings of the cannon of the Scripture

Let us understand first of all that our Lord Jesus Christ was The Only begotten Son of The Father', He is also the One who is, The brightness of The Father's glory, the express image of His person and upholding all things, by the wor(r)d of His power'. Our Lord Jesus was without sin in any way, He was and is the impeccable Christ. As our Lord Jesus was born, He was only a few days old, the Wise Men came to see The Babe, upon sight of Him, they worshipped. Simeon, who was waiting for the consolation of Israel'. saw The Babe and said, This day mine eyes have seen Thy salvation'. As Jesus was baptised, there was a very large crowd there on the banks of the Jordon that day, a motley lot, then our Lord Jesus walked forward, John the Baptiser, saw Him and said, Behold The Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world'. I think our dear Lord Jesus must have been very striking indeed and I would consider that this Jesus, right from the day He came into time, in meeting Him, in all the manner of His life folk could see what God was like, so where do the words from Isaiah fit in please?

To those who have no understanding of our God, to the folk who have eyes but cannot see, ears but they cannot hear then, these words from Isaiah, that we are now considering, apply to these worldlings. To the folk who said, as our Lord was amongst them so many years ago, they said Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?' there are also the words that were spoken, Is not this the carpenter's son?', in these two records of Scripture we have the answer to our question. To those who have not had their minds, spirits and hearts opened as to who our Lord Jesus is, to them, There is no beauty that they' should desire Him'. They recognise that He was a good man, did many nice things when He was on Planet Earth so many years ago, but they think, surely that this is the end of the matter'

We have just considered the understanding of fallen man as to who they think our Lord Jesus is, but what about the other side of the coin. As we have become believers in our Father God, in and through our blessed Lord Jesus, by His Spirit, as we are converted, when we have been born again our thinking changes regarding who this Lord Jesus Christ is. In the instructions our blessed Lord gave to John the Apostle to write to the church at Laodicea, we have, what will give us the answer to the question asked. Laodicea was a place in Asia Minor where there was plenty of wealth, it was well known for the fine linen and a centre where you could go, if one had the cash, go for treatment to the eyes. In the record in the third chapter of The Revelation, the folk were advised, 'To anoint their eyes with eye salve, that they might see', in this we have the answer to our problem

As we have had our eyes opened by the Spirit of our God so that we might see who this Lord Jesus is, and His work for us, on The Cross, that we might be redeemed, as this happens, so in The Master there is EVERY BEAUTY THAT WE SHOULD DESIRE OF HIM'

This Jesus who came into time in such a wonderful way, of the seed of Mary and thereby implying that He was not of the seed of Joseph

, as is correct. Our Lord Jesus was born without any sexual experience at all between Joseph and Mary, if His birth had taken place in this manner then He would not have been The Son of God. So as Jesus was born it was the greatest miracle that has ever taken place when

Time and eternity met

Flesh and spirit combined,

Visible and invisible converged

And God and man became One,

In the person of our Lord Jesus

Now let us understand the Word of God aright, He is the brightness of The Fathers glory, the express image of His being, upholding all things by the Word of His power, and when he had, by Himself, purged our sins, He sat down at the right hand of The Father' and is now crowned with resplendent glory and He is coming again. What a Lord we have, paid the pen alty of our sins in His death, but He conquered sin in rising from the dead on the third day, is dwelling within us by His Spirit and coming again, so may Our minds revere Him, Our spirits worship and Our hearts adore,' O come let us adore Him, For He alone is worthy, We give Him all the glory, Christ the Lord'. Yes in our Lord Jesus Christ there is

EVERY BEAUTY THAT WE SHOULD DESIRE

Now one day, in the eternal realm, this Jesus who did so many wonderful things while He was on Planet Earth, our Lord gave such remarkable teaching and then redeemed us by His life giving on The Cross, we are going to see Him. Yes, in that eternal day, we are, with our eternal eyes, are going to see Him in the fullness of His glory, what a day that will be and I do so look fPorward to it so much. I have many good friends, enjoy myself, endeavour to serve our Lord in a number of directions, but I cannot wait to put on one side my mortal body and go to be with our Lord which will be far better than anything that one has experienced here in time, as we are told in the Scriptures. Having said all that, we will in that day, that eternal day, see our loved ones in the Lord who have gone before, also all the saints who have gone before. But we are still here, here to work for The Master and that first occupation should be the worship of our redeemed hearts
